Thanks Harold. Didn’t quite agree with Al’s interviewing perspective; considering we are moving into the Post Peak Oil world. In my opinion his interviewing strategy is about to go extinct, to be replaced by a new world of political incorrectness. Intend to spend some time with your novels. But if it works for Al, thats good for him. Liked Axis Sally’s broadcast and your extreme sports story brought a couple of giggles!

Firstly, on the person who is migrating to the NW, it is clear to me that chance has always favored the prepared mind, Packing before you know where you are going to end up, is indeed a necessary thing, as it motivates your inner self to complete the journey and sets in motion other things beyond our understanding, but not our control. I know this to be true.
Secondly, Harold is correct inone thing, Never say anything to the police, Jails are full of people who just couldnt keep their mouths shut, I have experience on botth sides of this table and it is so correct it should be tattoed on most of us. However, having said this, it is possible to lead dummies astray , if you are on the right side of the fence, and it should never be attempted if one is green or unaccustomed to the protocols and SOP of the police and their wannabee detectives of federal institutions.

For me the ending for the main female character was predictable…but I kept hoping til the end that somehow it wouldn’t happen.

It doesn’t really matter who you talk to. Larry Fairfax was not a policeman, yet what Steele “told” him was held against him anyway. Heck, even what he told his WIFE was held against him.
You can’t win. There are only 3 “off the record” conversations: what you tell your lawyer, your priest, and your doctor.

Here is My British volunteers Rough Bio Harold, I hope it gives you a few ideas, hope you like?,
He is called Allen Clarke, or just Carkie to his mates, he came from Seacroft, a white working class area of north east Leeds. He failed his 11+ at school which he left at 16.
He drifted from job to job. He was arrested as a Leeds United football hooligan, when watching Leeds United play Manchester United in 1976.
He then joined the paras fought in the Falklands war as well as serving in Ulster. He then left the army got a job as a fork left driver, joined the BNP but got sick of Gri££in stealing funds.
He then heard of the Northwest front. He went to Canada were he lived with his cousin for a few mouths, then he slipped over the border and joined the Northwest Front.

In what order should the Northwest novels be read? I have “A Distant Thunder” because I thought that was the first in the quartet, but I haven’t started it because I don’t want to read the books out of order.

“Freedom’s Sons” is a masterpiece so far and no doubt will continue to be one going foward considering that you are writing it. It will be the jewel in the crown of your brilliant and distinguished literary career. I look forward to more of it.
Hear! Hear! for Ex BNP and his suggested BRITISH character as “Freedom’s Sons” goes forward. If you do take his suggestion (and I truly hope you do) perhaps you could somehow team him up with Nigel Moore or at least have them cross paths. My only suggestion, if you do decide to use “Clarkie”, would be to bring his military career ahead a bit because we are almost 30 years on from the Falklands campaign and “Clarkie” would be pushing 50 if not over. Perhaps you could have him as a veteran of Afghanistan or Iraq if you want to have him younger but the idea is great!

HAC you forgot to mention the important facts of the Mary Phagan case. That is that this Jew was the President of the B’nai B’rith or whatever the hell it’s called. Also that the boards (yes complete boards) with fingerprints on them managed to “disappear.” Not to mention the fact that a MOUND of “human excrement” was found in the elevator shaft.
As bad as you laid it out, the sad part is that it is even MORE horrible than it was laid out in the podcast.
