I know, I know. I am way behind in e-mail and those “special articles” a few of us know about. I haven’t visited northwestrepublic.com in weeks. Paper and prison correspondence? Fugheddaboudit.
I just finished a two-hour Radio Free Northwest special, and now I have to leap right into the January 2011 Northwest Observer if we are going to maintain even so much as a pretense of meeting deadline, plus my special New Year’s Message. I had hoped actually to get that message into your hands prior to New Year’s, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to be feasible now.
The pileup has been especially bad these last couple of weeks. I admit, but it’s mostly on me. I confess that I said to hell with it, and I took Christmas Day and Boxing Day off completely in order to write, hence my ability to get Section II Chapter II to the Proofing and Review Committee on the night of December 26.
Unfortunately, it’s going to be a while before I can get you guys any more chapters or back to the novel at all; by the time I get NO and the New Year’s Message squared away and into the mail, it’s back to RFN again, plus I have the monthly status reports, etc. etc. etc. plus at some point in time I have to deal with e-mail and paper correspondence. Harley is helping as best he can, but he’s not here, and he’s not available full time in a fully equipped GHQ setting even if he were, nor is he trained to understudy me properly. (Nor is anybody else, just make sure everybody knows I am not berating Comrade James. He has done a great job in easing the e-mail burden as much as he has, it’s just that there is so much that only I can answer and only I can deal with.)
Anyway, my response time is going to be very, very delayed over the next ten days or so, so please accept this e-mail as a generic apology for said delay and a general Happy New Year to all.
