Ad Lib, Yea or Nay?

How did I do on the Radio Free Northwest ad lib this time around, guys? Should I continue to diddle with it or should I stick to a script?

It’s great. It’s a time to learn. Stop beating yourself up about rambling. Right now you still miss the training wheels; but as you do more of these, they’ll get better. Please do not stop. If you must, have one one prepared show and one extemporaneous each week. I believe that soon enough you’ll discard the prepared.

You’re an entertainer, a very good one. People respond to entertainment. But they need to hear it, and keep hearing it. That means that we need more of you.

Sounded great to me! You sound very natural and it should be a shame if you used a script.

I like it when you do both, so a mixture would be great.

ALL the shows have been excellent!

I believe your emphasis on character is essential, so please continue to do this. The revolution must start with us.

    Thank you.

I like the casual tone. This time you had too much intro, but you can do better in the future. You need to work on your fifth novel so you need to save the time, and I really love your extreme honesty.

Whether it’s “just winging it” or reading from a prepared script, I’m once again impressed. I too am a supporter of the musical breaks in between, because unfortunately, for some it’s probably the only exposure to racially-minded music they get in a week, but a pleasant break from the usual bombardment of American degenerate filth. It’s just nice to see a group not tiptoeing around the REAL solutions out of fear, and Northwest Front will not be intimidated! Keep up the great work HAC

You are good at it. I see no need to spend all that time on a script . your doing great , if you hadn’t mentioned what you where doing not very many people would have been able to tell the difference.

I vote for once a week with the script and then occasional ad libbing as you have time. Yes, you did ramble some but that just shows how hard it is to do such a free style program. I’m sure many of us would go off in tangents and rants. I know I would, there’s such an overwhelming number of issues to discuss in today’s mad, mad, upside down world

Hal, go ahead and ad lib. As you gain confidence at the microphone, your emotion will reach out and touch the listener on a one-to-one basis. This approach allows you to be more flexible and address new, important issues and news stories as they break. Keep those podcasts coming!

Ad libbing works fine. We trust you, Harold! :)

Ad-lib is fine. At some point, the weekly show show should evolve to regularly entail a lead-off of scripted talking points, moving into listener submitted audio segments, and then maybe 1/3 program length of just freewheeling it. Keep it up with the folk music selections too, they are a big highlight.

It started out a bit rough but eventually got to sounding a bit like your scripted sessions. What I noticed is that your tone also started out quite a bit flatter than your normally exhuberant voice but again, this too also started sounding more “normal.” Either way, you’re a pleasure to listen to!

    Harold,

Both scripted and ad-lib sound good. I agree with those posters who say the latter sounds more natural, and given your extensive knowledge of White racial matters, should not be difficult for you to pull off weekly. Its not as though you need a teleprompter to convey to us what must be done to stave off White extinction. Any chance you could do call ins, starting with pre-approved callers whom you know personally, and then expanding based on who they can vouch for? This could be a way to involve others in the RFN podcasts without the risks of Skype.

The real world is ad lib. Telemarketers and Obama use scripts. People who know what they’re talking about can ad lib without using a script. If you know your subject well (and you do) you don’t need a script. A good actor who forgets his line in a script should be able to ad lib.

Harold just follow your notes, and from them just speak extemporaneously – hell, you know your subject better than most. I, for one, thought you did remarkably well for the first time and I say keep it up.

Harold, if you want to write another book why not do two programs a week? One could be pieces from your new book which you could read out to us, with ad libbing as the case may be. The other program could be about the movement, the same as your radio programs to date, but from now on mostly ad libbing.

    “Nay”.

Ad lib all the way it lets the listener really know what’s on your mind meanwhile seaperating you from the babbling bafoons That run the news and the incompetent obongo that reads a projection screen.

Not bad in the traditional sense of the word. I think Whitey needs a superman–verbose, highly intelligent, and never at a loss for words. Many associates already believe you capable of almost magical manipulations of reality, and talking over the kitchen table with coffee in hand pretty much bursts that balloon. I know you think it’s silly, but I believe you need to remain somewhat aloof and project an air of confidence that you may not actually feel, but which is vitally important to NF associates. End of psychological analysis.

Please stop beating yourself up about rambling off topic. I’m still interested when, as you say, you’re rambling. I think you’re too quick to complain about yourself. I think Tom’s suggestion was sensible for at least the immediate future. You’ll feel more confident. I want you too know I love your music and comments, and I’m fortunate to have your show!

Sounds fine to me Harold, but speaking offhand should also should be better at honing your skills to “think on your feet”, in case of future verbal ambush by hostile media crudballs, shrieking libs, etc,

    Mister Covington:

“Ad lib, yea or nay?” Yea.

In my humble opinion, authentic self-improvement should be a perpetual journey, and, while assured one is always supported by friends, some of the journey may best be privately explored.

    HAC,
The ‘Pro’ to a script is that it moves fast. You speak VERY well and the scripted shows are powerful. All you need for an unscripted show is an outline….and then go to town!!! You do what YOU want to do. You are an excellent speaker and writer. You do that….and they will come.
